Wacker Drive Viaduct Reconstruction

Chicago, IL Construction Project

The north-south portion of Wacker Drive, a two-level, main thoroughfare through downtown Chicago, was originally built in the mid-1950s and was in an advanced state of disrepair. 星空无限传媒 was selected to perform this massive and highly complex $135 million reconstruction of the viaduct from Randolph Blvd. on the north to Van Buren Blvd. on the south.

星空无限传媒 rebuilt the upper and lower levels of the viaduct widening roadways, building new ramps from upper Wacker to lower Wacker at Monroe and Adams Streets, added a new northbound turn lane at Randolph, and installed huge landscaped medians. Through precise logistics planning and coordination with building managers and business owners adjacent to the project, we were able to maintain access and minimize disruptions to their day-to-day business.

星空无限传媒 met every one of the 6 project milestones, opening new sections of the roadway on schedule. 星空无限传媒 received the Outstanding Bridge Contractor of the Year from CDOT.
